Sustainability

At Konoha, sustainability is not a label—it is a responsibility. It means preserving Colombia’s natural resources, creating healthier homes through thoughtful material choices, and supporting the communities connected to our work. From ethically harvested Colombian wood to the floors that ground everyday life, every decision we make is guided by long-term stewardship, careful engineering, and respect for people and nature.

Our relationship with wood begins at the source. Konoha works exclusively with ethically harvested Colombian hardwoods, selecting mature trees and honoring forestry practices that support regeneration and long-term ecological balance. We use 100% Colombian wood throughout our floors, from top to bottom, pairing local materials with U.S.-based engineering to create floors defined by stability, beauty, and purpose.

Konoha floors are engineered to endure. Each floor is rigorously tested to exceed North American quality standards, including Type II bond line testing to ensure structural integrity and long-term performance. Adhesives and finishes are selected with intention, supporting healthier indoor environments without sacrificing durability. The result is a floor made to last a lifetime—crafted with care for the people, places, and ecosystems that shape it.

For decades, Colombia relied primarily on imported engineered wood flooring from China and Europe. Konoha is the first company crafting engineered wood floors entirely from 100% Colombian wood. By sourcing and manufacturing at the origin—just outside Medellín—and applying U.S.-based engineering standards, we shorten the supply chain, reduce unnecessary transport, and invest directly in local communities. More than a production choice, this is a statement of values:

That true luxury honors nature, respects people, and stands the test of time.
